Basketball Game Preview: Piper Bengals vs. Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes

The Piper Bengals will head out to challenge the Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pompano Beach took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Piper, who comes in off a win.

Piper is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They strolled past Coconut Creek with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 68-53. The Bengals haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Pompano Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Everglades and fell 84-38.

Piper's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Pompano Beach, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Piper was able to grind out a solid win over Pompano Beach when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 54-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bengals since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
