While Montgomery's win against Ukiah wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Montgomery skirted past Ukiah 6-4. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Laela Shimon was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lillian Lorenz, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Montgomery's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Ukiah, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Montgomery will square off against rival Healdsburg at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Ukiah is set to challenge their familiar foe St. Vincent de Paul at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
