Caden Thompson Game Report: vs Illiana Christian

Lowell had to settle for second on Saturday, but Caden Thompson sure wasn't going down easily. Thompson tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. The effort marked the fewest hits he has had since back in May of 2024.

Even though Thompson couldn't lead Lowell over Illiana Christian, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Red Devils have some work to do to even out the 1-6 series between these two since April of 2021, but a win here would be a good start.
