Soccer Game Preview: Matanzas vs. Tocoi Creek + How To Watch

Matanzas is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will head out on the road to challenge the Tocoi Creek Toros at 7:30 p.m.

Matanzas proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by five) and last Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Providence School.

Alexa Sanchez and Carsyn O'Linn scored both of Matanzas' goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Tocoi Creek was forced to settle for a draw. They and Nease finished up their matchup with a 0-0 draw last Thursday.

Matanzas' victory bumped their record up to 2-3. With that draw, Tocoi Creek's record moves to 4-0-1.

Matanzas might still be hurting after the 7-0 loss they got from Tocoi Creek when the teams last played back in January of 2022. Can the Pirates avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
