Soccer Recap: West Cabarrus Continues Home Dominance on Thursday + How To Watch

West Cabarrus hadn't done well against Cox Mill recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Wolverines skirted past the Chargers 2-1. Given West Cabarrus' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 24th, while Cox Mill are ranked 89th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Giovani Mercado was the driving force of West Cabarrus' attack as he scored both of West Cabarrus' goals, bringing his season total up to seven goals.
