Woodward has gone 4-0 against Commonwealth recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Woodward Wildcats will head out to face off against the Commonwealth Mermaids at 3:30 p.m.

Woodward is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Marie Philip on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Woodward was beaten by Marie Philip 44-16. The Wildcats were down 38-14 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, Commonwealth hadn't done well against Marie Philip recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way back in December of 2024. In a tight game that could have gone either way, Commonwealth made off with a 28-27 win over Marie Philip. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Mermaids as it put an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Woodward strolled past Commonwealth in their previous matchup back in February of 2016 by a score of 31-13. Will Woodward repeat their success, or does Commonwealth have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
