Baseball Recap: Moorestown Friends Comes Up Short

Moorestown Friends was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Maple Shade Wildcats, falling 12-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Foxes of the 5-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2021.

Moorestown Friends' defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Maple Shade, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-6.

Coming up, Moorestown Friends will be playing in front of their home fans against Doane Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Maple Shade, they will host Holy Cross at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. The Lancers are coming into the contest with five straight losses on the road, meaning the Wildcats will have to defend against a team out to prove they can win away from home.
