Baseball Game Preview: Ravenna Ravens vs. Coventry Comets

For the second straight game, Ravenna will face off against Coventry. The Ravens will be playing in front of their home fans against the Comets at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Ravenna nor Coventry made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Ravens put the hurt on the Comets with a sharp 11-2 victory. Surprisingly, this marked the Ravens' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Jeriah Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on eight hits.

On the hitting side, Peter Jennings was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Nic Brazelton, who went 3-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Ravenna kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Ravenna's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-9. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Coventry, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
