Baseball Recap: Crestview Find Success

Crestview won the last time they faced Choctawhatchee and things went their way on Monday too. The Crestview Bulldogs came out on top against the Choctawhatchee Indians by a score of 6-1.

Landon Peters spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cooper Cantrell, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three).

Crestview picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Choctawhatchee, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crestview will square off against Niceville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Niceville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Choctawhatchee, they will take on Destin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Choctawhatchee's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Destin's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
