Los Osos won against Don Lugo on Saturday with three runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Los Osos Grizzlies beat the Redlands East Valley Wildcats by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Grizzlies sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
Los Osos' victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Abigail Merchant, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.
Merchant wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Los Osos kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Redlands East Valley only managed six hits.
Los Osos' win bumped their record up to 10-2-1. As for Redlands East Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Los Osos will square off against Chino at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Los Osos' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Chino's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Redlands East Valley, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Redlands East Valley Wildcats take on Corona Panthers at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
