Preview: Hopewell Vikings vs. Beaver Bobcats
Hopewell has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Beaver Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Hopewell is ranked 287th, while Beaver is ranked 295th).
Last Friday, Hopewell took a serious blow against Blackhawk, falling 66-38. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hopewell has scored all season.
Beaver can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They came out on top against West Carrollton by a score of 67-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for Brady Mayo, who scored 28 points along with six rebounds and five steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Beaver's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Butler, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Hopewell's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-1. As for Beaver, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Hopewell took a serious blow against Beaver in their previous meeting back in January, falling 74-36. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Hopewell was down 46-23.
