Etowah's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Marietta Blue Devils 53-51. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Blue Devils last Tuesday, they had to take a 39-37 defeat.

Despite the loss, Marietta saw an underclassman step up: freshman Leah DeWitt went 10-for-21 on her way to 30 points. Marietta is 11-5 when DeWitt posts 25 or more points, but 4-8 otherwise. Mckenzie Everett was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Etowah has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. As for Marietta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-13.

As of now, neither Etowah nor Marietta have any future games scheduled.
