Taylorville hasn't had much luck against Lincoln recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Tornadoes will venture away from home to challenge the Railsplitters at 11:00 a.m. Taylorville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Taylorville didn't have quite enough to beat Warrensburg-Latham and fell 8-7. The Tornadoes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maxx Grieme was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Kason Pembroke also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Lincoln's offense. They came up short against Champaign Central on Thursday, falling 15-0.

Taylorville's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Lincoln, they dropped their record down to 5-11 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
