Basketball Recap: Permian Takes a Loss

Permian saw some tournament action on Thursday. They fell 53-41 to the Roscoe Plowboys. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 763rd, while the Plowboys are ranked 98th).

Permian dropped their record down to 3-9 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points over those games. As for Roscoe, their victory bumped their record up to 10-0.

Permian has already played their next contest (against Bowie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Roscoe, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-57 win against Frenship Memorial on the 11th.
