Salem's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Girard Indians by a score of 66-57. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Quakers also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2025.

Despite the loss, Girard saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Braxton Sloan dropped a double-double with 30 points and ten boards. That was a full 52.6% of the Indians' points, marking the fifth time in a row Sloan has posted more than a third of the team's points. Camron Herrick was another key player, putting up eight points.

Salem's win bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Girard, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.

Salem wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 67-65 victory against David Anderson on the 20th. As for Girard, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-49 defeat against Cardinal Mooney on the 20th.
