Basketball Recap: Canal Winchester Find Success

Canal Winchester won the last time they faced Central Crossing and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Canal Winchester Indians sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 49-47 victory over the Central Crossing Comets. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Indians as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Central Crossing lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Savannah Hamilton, who posted 18 points and seven rebounds. That was a full 38.3% of Central Crossing's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Cordelia Watkins, who scored eight points and 13 boards.

Canal Winchester's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Central Crossing, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

Canal Winchester has already played their next contest (against Newark), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Central Crossing has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Pickerington North.
