Georgetown extended their winning streak to eight on Thursday, bumping them up to 10-1. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 72-66 W against the Montgomery Tigers. Surprisingly, this marked the Bulldogs' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

As for Montgomery, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. They have struggled against Georgetown recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Montgomery's loss came despite strong showings from Hayden Ganey and T.J. Small. Ganey dropped a double-double with ten points and 12 boards, while Small posted 16 points and three steals. Ganey is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last 14 games he's played dating back to last season. Ashton Washington was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Coming up, Georgetown won't have much time to rest: their next game is against LaSalle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Montgomery, they will challenge Florien at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
