Oak Hill Academy (Va.) standout point guard will join Austin Rivers at Duke.
Quinn Cook, the No. 12 player in MaxPreps' ranking of the nation's top 100 seniors, has made a commitment to Duke University, according to the
Fayetteville Observer. His second choice was UCLA.
Quinn Cook is headed to Duke.
The 6-foot-1 point guard averaged 20 points, 5.9 assists and 3.3 rebounds last year while leading
DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) to a 32-4 record.
During the summer he transferred to
Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) where he will play this winter.
During the summer he also starred for the USA Under-17 team which won the gold medal during the FIBA World Championships in Germany. He averaged 7.9 points and was the tourney leader with a 7.4 assist average.
He sustained a knee injury late in the summer, but has recovered and recently returned to practice.
Cook joins another standout guard, Austin Rivers, in the 2011 Duke recruiting class. The Blue Devils also have a standout freshman point guard, Kyrie Irving.
