Softball Recap: Pequea Valley Braves vs. Octorara Area Braves
After flying high against Columbia on Monday, Pequea Valley came back down to earth. Pequea Valley came up short against Octorara Area on Wednesday, falling 11-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Octorara Area this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 on April 14th.
Pequea Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izzy Graham, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. Another was Lilly Stike, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Pequea Valley has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season. As for Octorara Area, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pequea Valley will welcome Camp Hill at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Octorara Area, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Kennett at 3:30 p.m. The Braves are facing the Blue Demons at the right time seeing as the Blue Demons are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
