Volleyball Recap: Petter Ofquila Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Saddleback

There's no place like home for Loara, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Saddleback Roadrunners by a score of 3-1 on Thursday.

Loara walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-18, 24-26, 25-18.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Loara to victory, but perhaps none more so than Petter Ofquila, who had 26 digs and two aces. Ofquila has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times he's played. Hoang Diep was another key player, getting four aces and one block.

Loara's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Saddleback, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Coming up, Loara will take on Los Amigos at 5:00 p.m. on March 20th. As for Saddleback, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Orange at 4:30 p.m. Saddleback is facing Orange at the right time seeing as Orange is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
