Soccer Recap: Manning Comes Up Short

After flying high against Calhoun County last Friday, Manning came back down to earth. The Monarchs lost 7-1 to the Edisto Cougars on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Edisto this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-1 back in February.

Manning's goal came courtesy of Jeffery Parker, which was the first he's scored this season.

Manning has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season. As for Edisto, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.

Looking ahead, Manning will head out to take on Lake City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Edisto, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Charleston at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
