Baseball Recap: Decatur Comes Up Short

Decatur lost against Marcellus on Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Raiders fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 5-4. That's two games in a row now that the Raiders have lost by just one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Decatur and nudges their season record down to 16-7. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for Marcellus, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Decatur will face off against Niles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marcellus, they will square off against Martin at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
