Softball Recap: Clewiston Takes a Loss

Clewiston and Aubrey Rogers squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Clewiston had to settle for second. They came up short against the Patriots, falling 16-1. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Salia Brathwaite was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.

Clewiston has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for Aubrey Rogers, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-13.

Clewiston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Aubrey Rogers, they will take on LaBelle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cowboys/Cowgirls have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season.
