Softball Game Preview: Redding Christian Lions vs. CORE Butte Lynx

For the first time this season, Redding Christian will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will host the CORE Butte Lynx at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Redding Christian is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Redding Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Anderson and fell 9-8.

Klara Wakeman put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and six unearned) runs off eight hits. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.4 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.
