Football Recap: Hillsboro Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Hillsboro's offense. They had to suffer through a 34-0 loss at the hands of the West Trojans. Having soared to a lofty 44 points in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Josimar Lopez threw for 90 yards on 12 of 20 attempts. Carson Barker was his top target, picking up 34 receiving yards. On the ground, Kaden Grim rushed for 38 yards.

Hillsboro is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3. As for West, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hillsboro will take on Robinson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Rockets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for West, they will square off against Marlin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
