Volleyball Recap: Hampton Roads Academy Takes a Loss

Hampton Roads Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to ten on Wednesday, dropping them down to 0-2. They lost 3-0 to the Isle of Wight Academy Chargers. The Navigators were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

As for Isle of Wight Academy, they now have a winning record of 4-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for they.

Isle of Wight Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Camryn Williams led the charge by getting eight digs and five aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Libby Allen, who had ten blocks and two assists.

Coming up, Hampton Roads Academy will head out to challenge Veritas School at 5:30 p.m. on the 12th. As for Isle of Wight Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Nansemond-Suffolk Academy on the 4th.
