Football Game Preview: Northbridge Rams vs. Auburn Rockets

Northbridge and Auburn are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2015, but not for long. The Rams will square off against the Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, Northbridge was fully in charge, breezing past St. Bernard's Central Catholic 46-14. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by exactly 32 points.

Morodney Daigle had a dynamite game, rushing for 75 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries. Those 75 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Northbridge also got help from Bryce Rogozenski, who showed off his sure hands for 85 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Auburn humbled Springfield International Charter School with a 42-12 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Rockets' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 267th).

Northbridge has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 42.5 points this season. As for Auburn, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Northbridge couldn't quite get it done against Auburn in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 17-6. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
