Burgin and the Wyverns are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Burgin Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Francis Parker Wyverns at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Burgin's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Bluegrass United by a score of 67-65.
Francis Parker can finally bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against Portland Christian by a score of 60-49.
Burgin has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season. As for Francis Parker, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-13.
Burgin and the Wyverns were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but the Bulldogs came up empty-handed after a 51-50 defeat.
