Football Recap: St. Mary's Takes a Loss

St. Mary's game on Friday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They lost to the Bishop Feehan Shamrocks at home by a 21-7 margin. The Spartans have struggled against the Shamrocks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Xavier Baker continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bishop Feehan, rushing for 140 yards and one touchdown, while also picking up 32 receiving yards. Those 140 rushing yards gave Baker a new career-high.

St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Bishop Feehan, their victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Mary's will host Shawsheen Valley Tech at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bishop Feehan, they will face off against Boston College High at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
