Volleyball Recap: Fort Atkinson Comes Up Short

Fort Atkinson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Menomonee Falls Phoenix. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blackhawks of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

Fort Atkinson was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-22.

Fort Atkinson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Menomonee Falls, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-7 record.

Fort Atkinson has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Middleton on the 15th. As for Menomonee Falls, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hamilton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
