Baseball Recap: West Lutheran Warriors vs. Spectrum Sting
West Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Spectrum Sting, falling 15-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sting this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 back in April.
West Lutheran saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mitchell Grant, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run. Spencer Bostic also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
West Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Spectrum, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. West Lutheran is set to challenge their familiar foe PACT Charter at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Spectrum will square off against rival Legacy Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Sting 3.8, the Lions 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
