Volleyball Recap: Heritage's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Heritage was the 2-0 winner over Coahulla Creek when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Generals took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colts on Tuesday. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Generals were not able to get on the board.

Addy Kissner paced Heritage's offense, picking up six kills. Kissner got some help from Madison Sertel and her nine assists. Mikayla Martin controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Coahulla Creek's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maddy Hambright, who had five digs and three aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Heritage fell to 4-1. As for Coahulla Creek, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Heritage wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Oakwood Christian on the 19th. As for Coahulla Creek, they will take on Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
