It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Shippensburg ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the West Perry Mustangs 8-7. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-4 back in March.

Shippensburg has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for West Perry, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-10-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Shippensburg will face off against rival Big Spring at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, West Perry is set to square off against their familiar foe James Buchanan at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
