Football Recap: Grant County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Grant County's offense. They were outmatched by the Franklin County Flyers and fell 63-0. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky football rankings (they are ranked 191st, while the Flyers are ranked 19th).

Franklin County found their leader in sophomore Barret Knox, who threw for 313 yards and five TDs while completing 72.2% of his passes. Those five passing touchdowns set a new season-high mark for Knox. The team also got some help courtesy of Coen Taylor, who picked up 110 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Grant County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Franklin County, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Grant County is set to challenge their familiar foe Spencer County at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th. Meanwhile, Franklin County will face off against rival Western Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
