Baseball Recap: Akron Takes a Loss

After soaring to 12 runs the game before, Akron was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They came up short against the Maryvale Flyers, falling 11-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Akron's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Maryvale, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Akron has already played their next contest, a 14-3 defeat against Nichols on the 17th. As for Maryvale, they will take on Amherst Central at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
