Basketball Recap: Marlboro Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against King's Academy last Thursday, Marlboro Academy came back down to earth. The Marlboro Academy Dragons were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 40-39 to the Conway Christian Eagles. The Dragons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 45-32.

Conway Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Miles Crawford, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Will Kunkle, who earned 12 points and eight boards.

Marlboro Academy now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Conway Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-12.

Marlboro Academy has already played their next match, a 55-33 victory against Cambridge Academy on the 15th. As for Conway Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 37-29 defeat against Carolina Academy on the 11th.
