Volleyball Recap: North Putnam Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

It was a proper cat-fight when North Putnam took on Evansville Reitz on Saturday. The Cougars came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-22.

Zach Riley paced North Putnam's offense, picking up nine kills. Riley got some help from Bastian Sobrino-Behler and his 14 assists. Elijah Lewis controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

North Putnam's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-9. As for Evansville Reitz, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, North Putnam will challenge Terre Haute South Vigo at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars are facing the Braves at the right time seeing as the Braves are stuck on a five-game losing streak. Evansville Reitz does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
