Softball Game Preview: Dublin Coffman Shamrocks vs. Hilliard Bradley Jaguars

The Dublin Coffman Shamrocks will take on the Hilliard Bradley Jaguars at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Dublin Coffman barely beat Upper Arlington the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Shamrocks were the clear victors by a 14-5 margin over the Golden Bears on Monday. The Shamrocks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Hilliard Bradley ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Olentangy Orange. The victory was nothing new for the Jaguars as they're now sitting on four straight.

Dublin Coffman has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Hilliard Bradley, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Dublin Coffman came up short against Hilliard Bradley in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 7-4. Can the Shamrocks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
