Baseball Recap: Western Hills Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Western Hills's offense. They fell 4-0 to the Madison Southern Eagles on Wednesday. The Wolverines haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Western Hills saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Asher Gatewood, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Western Hills' loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Madison Southern, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-15 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Western Hills will take on Anderson County at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Madison Southern, they will square off against Whitley County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Colonels' pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
