Baseball Recap: Shepaug Valley Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

Shepaug Valley won the last time they faced Nonnewaug and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Spartans walked away with an 11-6 victory over the Chiefs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

Jon Croft was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Sonny Smith, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Shepaug Valley's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Nonnewaug, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.
