Basketball Recap: Drake/Anamoose Comes Up Short

Drake/Anamoose was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by the Velva Aggies 96-40. The Raiders lost against the Aggies in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 64-42 score last time.

Drake/Anamoose's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Velva, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Drake/Anamoose does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Velva, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Powers Lake/Burke Central at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
