Battle Ground Academy piles up the points against Melrose

The Battle Ground Academy Wildcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Melrose, posting a 64-27 win on the road. The win was some much needed relief for Battle Ground Academy as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
Dj Haws continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Battle Ground Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Abby Mclay, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Battle Ground Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Melrose, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Battle Ground Academy will head out on the road to face off against University School of Nashville at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Melrose, they will be playing at home against Kirby at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Kirby is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
