Soccer Game Preview: Porter vs. West Fork

The Porter Spartans will head out to take on the West Fork Gators at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Porter is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Porter's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Crosby, sneaking past 1-0. While the Spartans didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-10-3), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, West Fork has been struggling as of late, and they have yet to win a game this season. They and Dayton finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Gators as it spelled an end to their nine-game losing streak.

Porter's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. With that draw, West Fork's record moves to 0-9-1.

Everything went Porter's way against West Fork when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as Porter made off with a 4-0 win. Does Porter have another victory up their sleeve, or will West Fork turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
