Dora was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight  loss. They came up short against  Carbon Hill, falling  17-5. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
  Lillian McKinney made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs and  stole four bases while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Kira Vines, who  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  RBI.
Dora's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Carbon Hill, their record is now 11-16.
 Looking ahead, Dora will head out on the road to  face off against  Oak Grove  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Carbon Hill, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gordo  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Green Wave's pitching crew has only allowed four  runs per game  this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
