Basketball Recap: Prairie Central Comes Up Short

Prairie Central played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 70-39 loss at the hands of the Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Blue Devils. The matchup marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Keison Peoples, who went 8 of 9 en route to 19 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Caden Keleminic, who posted 15 points.

Prairie Central has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, they pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Prairie Central will take on Normal University in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, they will host St. Joseph-Ogden at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully St. Joseph-Ogden likes a good challenge.
