Northland Pines waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Antigo Red Robins a 7-0 shutout. That seven run margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season.

Jonathan Miller was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Miller was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, Alex Wethington was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Nolan Huelskamp, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Northland Pines' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Antigo, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
