Softball Recap: Redlands Adventist Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against Temecula Prep

Redlands Adventist Academy dropped their record down to 7-4 on Monday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Temecula Prep Patriots, falling 50-35. On the bright side, the 35- run performance marked the Bulldogs' highest-scoring matchup to date.

As for Temecula Prep, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-12. With that win, they brought their scoring average up to 8.3 runs per game.

For Temecula Prep's part, the team relied heavily on Venessa Fregoso, who went 6-for-7 with six runs, eight RBI, and two doubles. Those six runs gave Fregoso a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilah Martin, who got on base in six of her eight plate appearances with six stolen bases, six runs, and two RBI.

Looking ahead, Redlands Adventist Academy will look to defend their home field on Monday against Mesa Grande Academy at 4:00 p.m. As for Temecula Prep, they will challenge Santa Rosa Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rangers will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
