Soccer Game Preview: South Terrebonne vs. Hahnville

The South Terrebonne Gators will venture away from home to face off against the Hahnville Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. South Terrebonne's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Saturday just wasn't the day for South Terrebonne's offense. They fell just short of Morgan City by a score of 1-0 last Saturday.

Meanwhile, Hahnville put another one in the bag two weeks ago to keep their undefeated season alive. They had just enough and edged Lakeshore out 3-2. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 11th, while Lakeshore are ranked 66th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hahnville pushed their record up to 8-0-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three contests. As for South Terrebonne, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6-1.

South Terrebonne came up short against Hahnville in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 2-0. Can South Terrebonne avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
