Volleyball Game Preview: Saugus Centurions vs. Chaminade Eagles

After both having extra time off, the Saugus Centurions and the Chaminade Eagles will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Saugus took a loss when they played away from home last Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Castaic by a score of 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Centurions in their matchups with the Coyotes: they've now won eight in a row.

Saugus got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 30-28, 25-21, 22-25, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Chaminade sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Upland on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Chaminade now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Saugus, their victory bumped their record up to 19-15.
