Football Recap: Amanda-Clearcreek Comes Up Short

Amanda-Clearcreek had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-4 to make it four. They took a blow against the Hamilton Township Rangers, falling 49-21. While losing is never fun, the Aces can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while the Rangers are ranked 103rd).

As for Hamilton Township, their record now sits at 5-1. Considering they have won three matchups by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hamilton Township to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lucas King, who threw for 291 yards and four touchdowns. Jovon McBride was in the mix as well, providing the Rangers with two scores.

Amanda-Clearcreek will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Logan Elm at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. As for Hamilton Township, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Circleville at 7:00 p.m.
